Registered Nurse – Drouin

We are seeking Registered Nurses to provide care to clients based in Drouin.

As a specialist nursing, aged care, and (dis)Ability support provider, we support people who are ageing, people experiencing short, long-term, or life limiting illness and people living with a disability.

We are currently looking for compassionate, professional and reliable Registered Nurses with Critical Care experience, to join our team. If you are as passionate and committed as we are, you will be the perfect candidate to help support two of our loved clients located in Drouin, a charming town in the West Gippsland region of Victoria, 106 kilometres east of Melbourne. You will be responsible for providing support and all nursing care to both clients.

Both clients have complex care needs, including a ventilator plus tracheostomy, along with other medical and disability care requirements.

Successful candidates must commit to 2x Night Duty shifts per week (preferably Tuesdays and Wednesdays) and for at least two other mornings a week, as per below:

Night Duty shifts22:00 – 08:00
Morning shifts07:00 – 10:00

You must also be able to perform the following tasks:

  • Peg feeding
  • Tracheostomy care
  • All aspects of personal care

Full training and buddy shifts are provided to all staff joining the care program. Note in advance that, due to compliance requirements and the complexity of the client’s care, there are training modules that must be completed during our on-boarding program. Preference will be given to candidates who can do this quickly, and you will be rewarded for your effort and commitment via a range of incentives we currently offer:

  • Receive $100 for completing your competency courses before you start, and an additional $100 if you complete it within 7 days*

Qualifications and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor of Nursing – AHPRA Registration
  • Proven experience in the field
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate in English
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Current Police Clearance Certificate
  • Current Working with Children’s Check
  • First Aid Certificate which includes CPR (HLTAID003)
  • Residency or permission to work in Australia
